We had met with a few roofing companies before we contracted with Ed Moore and his crew. Recently we had shingle damage, and the company stood by everything promised to us. Very quickly, too. I was shopping around for roof quotes and came across Moore and Sons. I called on a Friday morning for a quote, and they got Eric out to my house that day to give me a quote. Impressive. Eric was really knowledgeable and gave me a very competitive price. He was great. After the quote, he scheduled my roof to be replaced that next week. The install went great (one day) and the install team was very prompt. The cleanup was unmatched. I had 3 layers on my roof and have not found 1 nail. I couldn't be happier with my new roof. This team just finished replacing my roof, soffits, insulation, and a skylight/roof window in my East Grand Rapids home. I got 3 quotes for this job and they were all very comparable pricewise, but this was the only one that could handle the whole job independently. Other large companies wanted me to coordinate insulation installation while the roof was torn off, and another tried to talk me out of the skylight because their company doesn’t do them. Moore and Sons simply listened, quoted the entire job, and executed it in the time frame promised. I had one concern (more of a preference) during the project and it was addressed quickly and professionally. The crew was skilled, respectful, and left a clean work site. My project came out beautifully and if I ever need another roof this will be the one and only company I’ll use.

They are the best roofer in West MI. I checked with several large home builders before I called Moore. Ed Moore was very helpful and very experienced. Much better than the other three roofers I had do estimates. Their crews are all experts and install was perfect. Roof done in 2017 and not a problem. No shingles have moved or been damaged by an ice storm, high wind storm, and heavy snowfall. I highly, highly recommend them.

The job turned out to be much more involved than anticipated, as it was replacing a very old, improperly installed metal roof with shingles. Overall, I’m happy with our roof installed by Moore & Sons Roofing. The salesman who came out was friendly and knowledgeable, the crew worked quickly and did a good job with cleanup. They had the best selection of shingles/colors of the four quotes I got. What I didn’t love: they said they would reroute our ventilation ducts straight up from the top floor bathrooms. They were leaking due to condensation and a long horizontal run to the side of the house. I told the salesman about where they were, and I assumed at some point before cutting holes in the roof, there would be crew members in the attic, assuring placement of the gooseneck vents on the roof. Instead, they just cut holes in the roof, and on one of the vents, were about 12 feet off. Thankfully, the crew came out and connected the vents a week later, and said if there were any leakage due to the long run, I could give them a call. So I guess we’ll see this winter!

A few family members of mine have had Eric Friar out to their homes to inspect some roofing issues. I happened to be there for one of them, and I was so impressed by the way he approached us with a huge smile and was so ready to just truly listen to what the issues were with no pressure, just pure patience, never rushing us at all. And on top of that, the information he was sharing both before and after inspection were so clear and 'on our level' which, to me, showed how much knowledge he truly has for this industry as well as how much he respects his customers. They Did an Amazing Job Nov 13, 2024

We had them do our roof in the last month and they did an amazing job. They installed new ridge vents across the whole house and replaced wood where there was water damage all in 1 day. Very easy to work with and they explained everything they were going to do. There were no surprises and when I discovered damage to the front fascia they came back and replaced it, no questions asked. Roof looks amazing and the clean up was very thorough. I will be sure to always recommend them.

Great experience with this company!!! They did a complete tear-off and redo of our roof in 2018, and the finished product looked amazing. We recently had a hailstorm go through our area, and multiple companies came out to bid and solicit business. We decided to call Moore & Sons back to diagnose and give an estimate, and ultimately they won our business again. Moore & Sons' hassle-free and no-pressure approach was welcoming compared to the other roofing companies. We appreciated Ed coming out and working side by side with our insurance adjuster and following up throughout the entire project. I would recommend Moore & Sons to anybody looking for a reasonably priced roof repair or replacement.

Ed Moore was very responsive to my concerns about a leak we were noticing. Our first thought was the roof they installed back in 2019, but without hesitation, Ed came out, gave us a few thoughts on what could be the cause, and then did an inspection to determine the actual issue, which was a cracked B vent from our water heater and not the roof. Ed was very professional and helpful, and has given us the necessary information to address the real issue. I'm very grateful for people like Ed Moore that put customer service first. His company does high quality work and they back that up 100%. I'd highly recommend Moore & Sons Roofing if you need anything that they can do.
